Ascot House is a charming Victorian property providing guest accommodation in the historic city of York. Conveniently located just a 15-minute walk from the city centre, it serves as an ideal base for exploring the area's rich history and attractions.
Our home features twelve well-appointed bedrooms, each offering a range of amenities to ensure a comfortable stay, including a TV, free high-speed Wi-Fi, en-suite facilities, complimentary tea and coffee making supplies, radio alarms and hairdryers.
The ground floor offers two convenient bedrooms: a twin with an en-suite shower and toilet, and a double with Text taken from bandbstays.co.uk an en-suite bath, shower and toilet. While not fully "disabled accessible" due to steps at the entrance, a wheelchair ramp is available. Up the beautiful pitch pine staircase, the half-landing features a rare curved stained oriel window, casting colourful light. The first floor has six bedrooms, all with four-poster or canopy beds, including three superior rooms and one family room. The top floor adds two doubles and two family rooms. In total, Ascot House offers five doubles, three superior doubles, one twin and three family rooms, all with en-suite showers, and two with baths.
The lounge is spacious and comfortable, providing the perfect place to relax and enjoy television. Guests can also enjoy tea and coffee served throughout the day.

York offers a wealth of attractions, from its charming narrow streets and medieval churches to its award-winning landmarks, including the Roman, Viking and National Railway Museums, as well as the iconic Minster. The city is also renowned for its Racecourse, hosting race meetings from May to October, with the world-famous Ebor meeting being a highlight. If you plan to visit during the races, early booking is highly recommended.
