Tucked away in the picturesque Meavy Valley within Dartmoor National Park, Callisham Farm is a granite and stone farmhouse full of rustic character. This welcoming, family-run hill farm offers a peaceful escape, surrounded by tranquil woodlands and the soothing sounds of nearby streams. Perfect for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts, the farm provides direct access to scenic walking trails without needing to walk on the road and serves as an excellent base for fishing, golfing, cycling, or exploring the stunning coastlines of Devon and Cornwall.

The rooms come with en suite facilities, tea/coffee trays, television and views onto the fields. The family room sleeps 4. Our quirky, bijou, single room at the back of the house has an en-suite with quadrant shower, 4ft double bed, sky light window, view to the garden, tv, tea and coffee making facilities.
The guests’ lounge has a flagstone floor and an inglenook fireplace cradling a large woodburning stove, making any stay warm and homely.
You can enjoy a real English breakfast made from tasty and wholesome local produce. Vegetarian and special diets are catered for on request. Room only option also available.
The family-run hill farm is surrounded by excellent walking country and there are lots of wild swimming spots available nearby. It is also an ideal centre for riding, fishing, golfing, cycling and touring the beautiful coasts of Devon and Cornwall. The historic port of Plymouth is 12 miles away to the south and the ancient stannary town of Tavistock 7 miles to the north.
Plymouth has good transport links, with an airport, mainline railway station, connection to the motorway via the A38 and M5, plus ferry links to France and Spain. Meavy village, with its picturesque village green, 12th Century church and the famous 800-year-old Royal Oak Inn, is only half a mile away by road or a short stroll of a quarter-mile across the fields. There are a few dog friendly pubs available nearby.
