The Cabin Sudbury is a beautiful bed and breakfast with a stunning award winning garden located in the Suffolk town of Sudbury. Situated within half an acre of our beautiful garden, we truly are in a relaxing and tranquil location, making us the ideal holiday destination.
The B&B was built in a New England style and consists of a large room, with either 2 single beds or a super king sized bed and a comfortable lounge area, with armchairs and TV. Beyond this room is a kitchenette with fridge, cupboards and seating area. To the left of the kitchenette is a shower room together with washbasin and WC. In addition to the Cabin, 3 further guest rooms are available in the main house itself, the Wisteria Room Text taken from bandbstays.co.uk at the front and the Garden Room and Lilac Room at the rear.
A substantial continental breakfast is included in the price, with croissants, brioches, cheese, ham, cereals, fruit juice, home made bread, preserves and yogurt. A full locally sourced English breakfast is available at an additional £5 per person.
The garden itself features regularly in Sudbury’s Open Gardens scheme and has won first prize as best Organic Garden of the Year in the town’s Sudbury in Bloom competition. The garden is also part of the Quiet Garden Trust, which means that it can be used by visitors for quiet reflection and meditation. The overriding atmosphere of the garden is one of peace and tranquillity.
Sudbury itself is an ancient market town with many very old buildings, including three splendid medieval churches and a number of houses dating back to Tudor times. A museum dedicated to the painter Thomas Gainsborough, who was born in Sudbury, is situated in the town. The town also has a very fine variety of shops and eating places. Its busy market operates on Thursdays and Saturdays and attracts many folk from the surrounding villages.
Sudbury provides easy access to a large number of picturesque villages, many of which are within ten miles of the town – Long Melford, well known for its large number of antique shops, Castle Hedingham, with its magnificent Norman keep, Cavendish with its picture postcard green and Suffolk pink thatched cottages, Clare, with its beautiful church, Lavenham, famous for its beautiful preserved medieval buildings, especially the Guildhall, Kersey renowned for its ford across the road through the village - to name but a few! This area of south Suffolk and north Essex is rural England at its most peaceful and gentle.
