The Gables Bed & Breakfast is a lovely B&B that has wonderful views overlooking the Derwent Valley in Derbyshire. Our bed and breakfast is up a steep and winding lane and is a short walk from the centre of Starkholmes, a small and pretty village near Matlock.
Our bed and breakfast is a perfect base for those who are looking for a get away from it all break or as a stop off while touring the Peak District National Park. We have a variety of rooms available, including two suites. All of the guest rooms include a TV, fridge and a complimentary tea tray and an afternoon tea service. We aim to make your stay with us as comfortable & enjoyable as possible.
Take some time to sit and enjoy our guest lounge whilst you un-wind in front of the open fire on a cold winters day or out on the patio in the beauty of our surroundings in the sunshine. For breakfast we offer both Full English and Continental, using as many locally sourced produce as possible. The fresh fruit and veg all comes from Matlock market and the sausages and bacon from a local butcher, Robin Maycock.
