Newark Lodge Guest House is located just over a mile from Newark-on-Trent town centre in the Nottinghamshire village of Balderton. We are the only guest house in Newark with Five Stars and a Gold Award.
Our guest bedrooms can be found on the first floor and are accessible by stairs. We currently have four rooms available. Our suite of twin rooms is one wing of the house which is completely closed off to you and you have two single rooms interconnecting with your own en suite. We also have two double guest rooms, each with their own self contained en suite bathrooms. Each guest will receive a complimentary Text taken from bandbstays.co.uk hospitality tray stocked with a superb selection of teas, coffees and biscuits, and mineral water. We are also pleased to offer free Wi-Fi to all our guests; access is available in all our guest rooms and throughout the house.
Breakfasts cooked to order are served in the splendour of the dining room which overlooks the drawing room with its inglenook fireplace and a wealth of beams. Vegetarians are also spoilt for choice.
A short ride by car or train takes you to Lincoln with its stunning Cathedral or you may choose to visit Nottingham with its castle and where you may shop till you drop!! We are within staggering distance of some super pubs which serve food. Newark Castle Gardens is a Grade II listed historic site and there's plenty to see and do for visitors of all ages, including regular tours of the castle grounds. Music aficionados won't want to miss the seasonal concerts at the garden's bandstand.
