Meadows Way Guest House offers award winning guest accommodation for all travellers. Our guest rooms are well equipped with a Freeview TV, tea & coffee making facilities and are en suite. Either a full English or continental breakfast is included within the room rate and is served in our dining area each morning. Special diets can be catered for so please don’t hesitate to ask.
The friendly town of Uttoxeter has the benefit of being ideally located near to several major towns, cities and attractions, providing our guests with a huge variety of activities for all people of all ages and interests. Those visiting the Alton Towers Theme Park will find it hard to find somewhere better to stay. Uttoxeter has always been a thriving market town situated on the Staffordshire and Derbyshire Text taken from bandbstays.co.uk border close to the river Dove. It has a charter dated from 1252 and a regular Wednesday market since 1309 when it once traded butter, cheese, meat and leather to London. This region also offers a superb range of countryside activities, from nature trails to working farms.
Uttoxeter itself has been officially spelt 77 different ways as it has evolved over the centuries, originally called 'Wotocheshed', or 'Wot's homestead on the Heath' dating back to the Anglo - Saxon time c.600A.D. Uttoxeter soon became an important part of the Midlands infrastructure and soon people travelled here through many routes. Some using the local canal routes. In 1848, Uttoxeter built its first railway through from Crewe to Derby.
