Grassington in Wharfedale, is a picturesque little town and there is much to interest the visitor in the area. It is also an ideal base for exploring the other Dales and further afield. There are many interesting walks directly from the house for all abilities, ranging from riverside ambles to strenuous hill walking. We have maps and books available for guests' use and we are only too happy to offer advice on walks if required. Guest tickets are available for trout fishing on the local River Wharfe.
Beautiful scenic tours by car can be made to Malham, Kilnsey, Kettlewell, Buckden and Hawes… to name but a few. Towns nearby worthy of a visit are Skipton, Settle, Ilkley and Harrogate. In addition York and Leeds are easily accessible. Also within easy reach are Wensleydale, Nidderdale, Dentdale, Swaledale, even the Lake District. The choices are endless and the variety of scenery is impressive.
