Set in wonderful open countryside Bush Nook Guest House was originally part of the estate held in trust for the Earl of Carlisle in the Barony of "Guilsland".
Overlooking Birdoswald Roman Fort and visitor centre, Bush Nook is close to some of the best preserved 'centre' sections of Hadrian's Wall. We aim to provide quality & value for money in delightful quiet & peaceful surroundings. We specialise in providing exceptional food using local produce in a comfortable and friendly environment. To our knowledge we were the only establishment on Hadrian's Wall to win an RAC Dining Award for the quality of our food which features such local favourites as Black pudding and Cumberland sausage for breakfast, as well as local farm reared meat and seasonal wild salmon and game such as venison for evening dinner. Vegetarians and those with special dietary needs are also catered for. We feature a totally local cheese board which is complimented by an exceptional wine & drinks menu normally only associated with a high class restaurant. We are very environmentally aware and use recycled and eco friendly products where possible. We also support Fairtrade & Forest Alliance traded products.
