Our guest house is pleasantly situated in a slightly elevated position, close to the town centre (5 mins walk), yet in a quiet suburban setting. A wooded footpath leads from the front garden into Oban. Car access (parking for up to 7 cars) is at the back and immediately across the road is the local bowling green, with the leisure centre adjacent. Immediately across the road from Hawthornbank there is the local bowling green and leisure complex. A 5-minute walk takes you into the centre of Oban with its shops and attractions, including a cinema and indoor bowls complex. The ferry terminal offers daily trips to a variety of offshore islands, including Mull where you may be lucky enough to see Otters and the rare Sea Eagle. Oban is an ideal base from which to explore Argyll and the West Highlands.
