Stromabank provides superb accommodation in Hoy on the Orkney islands. Nestled in a beautiful part of Argyll, we are perfect for an idyllic holiday.
Located on a hilltop position, we boast glorious views over Scapa Flow and Pentland Firth. Our guest house is surrounded by an acre of farmland and includes a purpose-built ramp for ensuring easy access for all.
We have four cosy and well-appointed rooms available, including double or twin Text taken from bandbstays.co.uk rooms. One of the rooms is suitable for wheelchair users. All the rooms come with en suite facilities, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer and a TV.
You can enjoy a delicious breakfast using as much local produce as possible. We also offer a lovely dinner menu, including Orkney Cheese, Orkney Beef, North Ronaldsay Lamb, local fish and shellfish and Orkney Ice-cream. Whilst savouring your meal you can admire the magnificent views. Our bar serves draught beers, liqueurs, spirits soft drinks and a range of great malt whiskies.
The Longhope Lifeboat Museum is a fascinating day out and includes lots of artefacts, information and insights. RSPB Hoyis a beautiful space to explore. You might see Orkney's only white-tailed sea eagles or fulmars, puffins, hen harriers or arctic hares. Lots of wonderful attractions are in the local area:
