Cardhu Country House is a former manse and has been beautifully restored to offer luxurious and comfortable guest accommodation in the Scottish Highlands. We are a rural retreat and an ideal base for those who are interested in the Whisky Trail. The house is close to the Cardhu Distillery in Knockando and only a mile from the River Spey.
We have 6 guest rooms available, all of which have Wi-Fi internet access, a TV and a hospitality tray. Our rooms include:
The Glenlivet Room: A 1st floor room named after the elegant single malt. It is the largest of the 6 rooms and has a super king size bed or two spacious singles and a large contemporary shower room.
The Cragganmore Room: The room features Text taken from bandbstays.co.uk a super king sized bed or two spacious singles. The modern bathroom is modelled in a Victorian vintage style with a deep roll top bath and shower over.
The Knockando Room: A dual aspect bedroom with a spacious super king size double or twin single beds and a contemporary shower room.
The Tamdhu Room: The room has a super king sized bed or two spacious singles. The contemporary bathroom features a spacious bath with shower over.
The Macallan Room: On the second floor of Cardhu house this room, with its large dormer window, has the best views over the rolling Moray hills. This elegant room has a king-size bed, comfortable sofa and a contemporary shower room with a 1.2 metre walk in shower.
The Aberlour Room: A mirror image of the Macallan room with king-size bed and comfortable sofa
Breakfast is included within the room rate and all food is freshly prepared in our kitchen, using only the finest local ingredients. We change our menus daily and incorporate seasonal produce wherever possible. A full Scottish breakfast is always available along with a range of other delicious options. Evening meals for bed and breakfast guests are also available but all meals should be ordered in advance. Dinner is not normally served on a Sunday or Monday unless by special arrangement.
The house is in an idyllic, peaceful spot on the fringes of Knockando near the Cardhu distillery. It boasts a large, private and secluded walled garden but is only a minutes’ walk from the village tennis courts and the beautiful Knockando Church. We are 9 miles from Aberlour and a great base for enjoying the many exciting outdoor activities which are available locally:
