Northcourt is a glorious Jacobean Manor set within 15 acres of well kept gardens on the Isle of Wight at Shorwell. We are an ideal retreat for those who want a relaxing break away. The heritage building is surrounded by unspoilt countryside and is just a short drive from Newport.
All of the guest rooms are tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished. The period that the house was built means that the rooms are spacious, with high ceilings and large windows providing lots of natural light. Each room has a traditional feel to showcase the character of the property. You will find panelled walls or a free standing roll top bath. All rooms have a view of the garden or paddock. Our rooms can be set up as a double or twin option, please just let us know when booking which you require.
Breakfast is served in the dining room and includes homemade bread, honey from our own bees, jam and Text taken from bandbstays.co.uk a cooked breakfast made with locally sourced produce.
NorthCourt is situated on the south-west side of the Isle of Wight on the edge of the rural picturesque village of Shorwell. There is a local pub, church and post office all within a 3 - 5 minute walk. The house nestles just below the Downs, two and a half miles from the sea and beaches, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is an ideal location for walking and cycling holidays. One can walk up onto the Downs from the house in all directions and there are single track lanes down to the sea.
