Potters Mooring is an award-winning, 17th-century guest house in Shaldon near Teignmouth. We are a fantastic base for couples, friends and families who want to explore Devon. Potters Mooring is in the heart of Shaldon village positioned overlooking the village green and municipal bowling green. pleasantly surrounded by elegant houses and picturesque cottages.
All guest rooms have been tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay has said by all. They have a quiet charm, historic appeal and include everything you need.
We also have a self catering holiday home available, Smugglers Cottage. This has its own private entry and is in the courtyard of Potters Mooring. This lovely spacious, quirky, upside down cottage, enjoys an open plan Text taken from bandbstays.co.uk lounge, kitchen, diner on the first floor with a double bedroom, en suite shower room and a twin bedroom on the ground floor, tv, hairdryer, iron and ironing board and in-house complimentary tea and coffee making facilities are supplied. The en-suite shower room enjoys a large walk-in shower, toilet and hand basin, towels and complimentary toiletries are supplied. This cottage can be used for single, double or family occupancy, up to 4 adults
Here at Potters Mooring, guests can enjoy a delicious home-cooked breakfast from a full English or a lighter alternative from the menu, all vegetarian and special dietary requirements are catered for. Early breakfast is available on request. Contact prior to arrival. Breakfast is served 8.00 – 9.30.
There are a wealth of attractions, sights, live entertainment and activities in and around Shaldon to suit the whole family. Shaldon a hidden treasure has entertainment all throughout the year including water carnival, Shaldon regatta, music festival, bowling green, 18-hole pitch-n- putt, the famous boxing day three-legged race, botanical gardens, Shaldon wildlife trust where they look after and preserve some of the rarest and most endangered animals in the world, well worth a visit, lovely walks and beaches including Smugglers Tunnel down to Ness Cove.
