Plumber Manor, a quintessential Dorset country hotel, is a Jacobean house that has remained in the hands of the same family who built it in the early 1600s. Now operated as a luxury hotel, it is situated in the heart of Dorset’s scenic "vale of little dairies," famously portrayed in the works of Thomas Hardy.
In the main house, our luxury accommodation features six elegantly appointed bedrooms, accessed via an impressive yet inviting gallery adorned with family portraits, characteristic of fine Jacobean homes of the era. An additional ten spacious rooms, some featuring charming window seats overlooking the river and gardens, are located in the beautifully restored natural stone barn that encircles the topiary courtyard. Four of these rooms have convenient parking access and are dog-friendly. Two of the courtyard rooms are also equipped for guests with limited mobility.
Each room includes homemade shortbread biscuits, tea and coffee facilities and all the comforts you would expect from a premier Dorset country house hotel, including a TV, phone, hairdryer and Wi-Fi.
