Bramlies Bed & Breakfast offers wonderful guest house accommodation in Dorchester, Dorset. We are the perfect place to stay for a memorable holiday away.
Set in our pretty garden we have two rooms in a separate annex. Firstly we have our beautiful two roomed Garden Suite. This is ideal for couples who would like more privacy and space, for those who prefer ground floor accommodation for easy access or for families. It has a double bedroom with en suite and adjoining sitting room with a high quality double sofa bed, which if needed as a bed, has a luxury memory foam mattress. The Suite has a flat screen digital TV, hospitality tray, free Wi-Fi and hair dryer. Outside your room is a table and chairs for your use after returning from your day out. This suite provides comfort and space - both inside and out - to help make a longer stay more enjoyable and relaxing.
The Lily Pad is attached to the Garden Suite and is a twin/double en suite room. This again is ideal for anyone preferring privacy or ground floor accommodation (although there are a couple of steps into the room). This room has a good size en suite with a large double shower. It also has a super king double/twin bed. Facilities include a flat screen TV, hospitality tray and hair dryer. Wi-Fi access for your own laptop is also available in this room. It should be noted that this room is unsuitable for anyone over 6'4" due to the ceiling height! Outside are table and chairs.
Within the house we have The Green Room, which is a lovely single with and en suite shower. Facilities include a flat screen TV, free Wi-Fi, hospitality tray and hairdryer. The single bed has a gazunder/guest bed which gives the option to adapt the room to a twin room if required.
All our guest rooms at our Bed & Breakfast accommodation are tastefully decorated, and have high quality beds, bed linen and towels to ensure a comfortable stay.
Enjoy Text taken from bandbstays.co.uk a relaxed breakfast in our dining room over looking the garden. Breakfast is included in the room rate.
Dorchester is Dorset’s county town and is ideally situated for exploring Dorset’s Heritage Coast and the beautiful countryside. Dorchester has many links with history, ranging from the iron age through to more modern history as can be seen in the Dorset County Museum. The museum often puts on special events during the holidays. Dorchester was also the home town of Thomas Hardy, and his homes ‘Max Gate’ and Hardy's Cottage are open to the public. There are many other attractions including the Tutankhamen Exhibition, Maiden Castle (ancient iron age hillfort), The Military Museum. The Teddy Bear Museum is a must for Teddy lovers!
Shopping is varied, with many individual shops both in the main shopping street and in the arcades and walkways. Our Town Crier can be seen (and heard!) about town, and along with other guides, offers a range of walking tours.
Once you are here, you could park the car and not have to get in it again until you go home, as Bramlies is within 2 minutes walk from the bus stop for the X51 bus route which runs West to Axminster. From Weymouth you can catch the X53 which is the bus that takes you from Weymouth all along the Jurassic coast to Lyme Regis and beyond. You are able to hop on and off at the pretty villages along the way. We also have two railway stations within walking distance, Dorchester South and Dorchester West.
