The Gables in Doverhay, Porlock, in Somerset, provides wonderful B&B accommodation in a secluded and tranquil location, making us the perfect place to escape to from the hustle and bustle of modern life.
Our superb guesthouse is the ideal destination for those wanting to experience a rural retreat in peace and comfort. We have 4 lovely double rooms to choose from. 2 of the doubles have a single bed and fold out bed, allowing them to sleep up to 4 people.

A delicious breakfast is served in our breakfast room which has a lovely view of the courtyard garden. We offer a choice of fresh fruit, juices, cereals and a full English breakfast (made with locally sourced fresh produce where possible) or a continental breakfast.
We also have self catering accommodation available in Vine Cottage. The cottage sleeps up to 3 people and is available for £455 per week. Set in a cobbled courtyard, it is quietly situated and totally self contained with its own parking in the courtyard. It also has a room suitable for dogs. Breakfast is available in the main house for an extra charge. Please enquire for details.
The Gables is perfectly situated for walking on Exmoor and the South West coastal path or finish your walk on the Coleridge Way here. There are numerous National Trust and historic properties to visit or relax on one of our nearby beaches or explore the magnificent Somerset and Devon countryside.
