Elen's Castle Hotel was once an 18th Century coaching inn and originally part of the Earl of Ancaster's Welsh Estate. Today it provides a unique place to relax at the heart of the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales.
All rooms are ensuite, with several offering both a bath and a shower. Each room is thoughtfully equipped for your comfort, featuring a TV, tea and coffee facilities, a hairdryer, and superfast broadband. We maintain the highest standard of cleanliness throughout the hotel. To ensure a good night's sleep, all our beds are firm (so no roll-together!). Room service is available. If you're celebrating a special occasion or simply want to indulge, you can pre-order a bottle of chilled champagne or prosecco Text taken from bandbstays.co.uk to be ready for you upon arrival.
Savour a delicious meal in the award-winning restaurant and unwind with a Welsh craft ale on draught, one of the many Welsh gins, or any drink of your choice by the wood-burning stove in the cosy, historic bar.
The hotel is in the centre of the village. Dolwyddelan stands at a natural and historical crossroads, at the foot of Moel Siabod – 2861 feet (872m), straddling the trout and salmon-rich Afon Lledr, a river, which winds its way through meadows and turbulent gorges northwards to join the Afon Conwy at Llyn yr Afanc.
We are carbon neutral for heating and hot water. We also have 2 electric car charging points - one for a Tesla and one for any type 2 electric vehicle.
The Castle is just 1 mile down the road, just outside the village centre, controls a commanding and awesome panorama and the views from the battlements are breathtaking; the Crimea Pass (Bwlch y Gorddinan) and the Moelwyn Mountains, towards Moel Siabod and away to the Denbigh Moors.
